The technological innovation, technological revolution and industrialization promotion in the field of new energy have never stopped. It can be said that it is in full swing and lively. How to distinguish and choose the power battery pack that is more suitable for you is particularly important in this market. Different kinds of batteries, such as lead-acid batteries, lithium power batteries (LiFePO4, li3po4 power batteries, LiMn2O4, licoo4, linio4), nickel series batteries (Ni Cd sintered batteries, Ni MH maintenance free batteries, Fe Ni batteries, Zn Ni batteries), fuel cells, aluminum air batteries, supercapacitors, etc., have different characteristics due to different material systems. Under each category, the material mix is different, the process of each manufacturer is different, and countless categories are derived. Each type has its own unique advantages and disadvantages, and has its own application fields in the power market. In such a complex situation, how to choose the power battery of online AGV car?

So, first of all, talk about the application field and technical application requirements of online AGV car.


With the development of industrial intelligence, the curve of labor cost is rising. Online AGV car has been widely used in automated logistics, intelligent factory, large storage system and places not suitable for long-term work. Online AGV car must meet the safety, continuous work, stability, intelligence, miniaturization, low cost operation mode.

According to the operation characteristics of online AGV, in the shallow discharge mode, less battery capacity is used to realize the high-power shallow discharge operation of AGV. When charging, it uses high current and short time charging, and it is put into operation after quickly replenishing power. Example: our company designed a scheme for a company. The intelligent charging station can know the status of the battery module of the online AGV car in real time through the wireless data link. When the SOC of the battery module of one AGV car is lower than the set value, the AGV car will charge automatically. At this time, the intelligent charging station automatically calculates the charging current according to the battery status and charging time (such as 3 minutes), and uses the charging current not higher than 2c to supplement the charging. After charging, it usually works for about 30 minutes before charging, so as to achieve uninterrupted work.

This efficient, intelligent and low-cost operation mode has very strict requirements for battery modules. The battery is required to have continuous high-speed high current charging and receiving capacity, high current discharge capacity, high safety, working reliability, long cycle life, wide temperature range, complete protection function and high cost performance in this mode.


The lead-acid battery does not have the ability of high current charging, the safety of lithium cobalt oxide is poor, the cost is high, the specific energy of iron nickel battery is low, and the volume is large. Fuel cell, aluminum air cell technology is not fully mature, is not considered. But in some cases, AGV car also has the use of lead-acid battery cases. At present, the mature products of on-line AGV car power battery are ternary lithium power battery, lithium iron phosphate battery and Ni MH maintenance free power battery. Its characteristics are as follows:


Ni MH power maintenance free battery has wide temperature range, good applicability, high current charging and discharging ability, strong explosive power and superior performance, but it has large volume and high price. Only suitable for special conditions.


The application of lithium battery technology is relatively mature, and it is increasingly widely used.


In terms of cost, the preparation process of Fe Li battery is complex, the yield is low, and the consistency is poor. That's why the material cost is cheap, but the price is not lower than three yuan. Now the technology trend is to continue to mix manganese, nickel and other substances on the basis of iron lithium, and get better performance after modification, which also blurs part of the boundaries of materials.


The three-way power battery is used in the on-line AGV car, with high specific energy, small volume and long cycle life, which is very suitable for the application of conventional on-line AGV car.
